Fall Outdoor Action: The Best! (with Better to Come!)
September 05, 2012

I'm excited about fall training! It's my favorite training time of the year. ...Coz it means getting ready for the biggest fun season of the year! ...SKIING!

Here's my plan... Something different for every day, sometimes two-a-day: *rollerski; *trail run; *CATski; *yard weights; *calisthenics; *cyclocross; *dirt road rides; *mtbiking; *canoeing; trail building/maint.

YEAH!

And it's cooler, too. But not too cool. And sometimes muddy. And the leaves are going to be looking PURTY soon. Oh yeah!

I'm almost ready for two-a-days, I tell ya. (A little quick yard action before work then go out and about for an hour after work. Too not much. Just enough! ...To rock!)

I might even toss in a little full camo squirrel huntin'. And some salmon fishin'. Duck jumpin'? Who knows! I even kinda wish I had a crossbow. I've already been bushwack-style pike fishing a couple times and that's great stuff, too -- dinner up! (I wade, splash, scramble our local shallow river doing boatocross without the boat for my pike action so far.) But, ya know what, if I do too much huntin/fishin I lose my action hone. And if I go SITTING at all, I'm a goner. A week or two of sitting in blinds and I gain 10 lbs. Caution!

But hopefully you're gettin' in on some of this, too!

If you're getting psyched and worked, too, what's your secret recipe?
