I didn't know Ian Hibell was still riding, but he is. His cycling exploits greatly inspired me when I was in my teens in the 70's. But even though he's getting on in years he's still doing big rides. Very cool! Go, Ian!

I guess that the website that was hosting his tales has gone down inexplicably but this archive service still has some pages up.

What I really like are the front and rear racks of his own design which are built into his bike frames. That's the way!

PS: Ian was struck and killed by a motorist in Greece at age 74 on Sept. 3, 2008.
