The Bicycle Wheel: best book on wheels
March 18, 2006

$26 (inc. S/H)

[$26, postpaid US] Jobst Brandt's classic "The Bicycle Wheel" is hard to find. It's hardcover, 7"x9", 143pp, 3rd edition, 2003.

It's the only book published by Avocet---the maker of tires, seats and speedometers. I suspect they handle this one title because Jobst invented Avocet's best tire ever, perhaps the most innovative tire of our day.

Even though it's hard to find, this book is known far and wide as being the best book about bike wheels ever. It tells how to build them and why they work. It shatters many myths, as is Jobst's habit.

(Jobst invented the slick bike tire...and helped design the Porsche...and still leads legendary rides in Nor-Cal and in the Alps, storming the passes on his VERY tall bike with just a big saddlebag and big gears.)

Non-US Postage Special Notice ...Customers SHOULD see an option in their PayPal checkout cart for postage to their country (or near enough). This book requires the *2-3 pound* postage rate. If this doesn't work there are manual PayPal buttons for postage below (I recently updated my shipping system within PayPal and don't know how well it works yet).

Canadian orders can first click the above button then click this next button which adds $6 to your Cart:

UK/Euro/Oz/other customers can click the first button then click here to add an extra $15 to your Cart to partly offset excess postage:
