Natural Fishing Poles…Just a Pretty Stick…

Here’s a company that makes fishing poles the old way, in a new way. These are full-length bamboo canes, with guides wrapped onto them and a real-seat of your choice. Simple, natural.

Lots of folks know about the sweet, high-end feel of the bamboo flyrod made with sliced sections of bamboo glued into an octagonal cross-section of solid glowing wood. These rods can cost hundreds of dollars. And they do deliver a special feel. I once bought a thrify one from a retired Orvis builder in Denver—holy smokes, it gave a nicer feel to catching fish. I wouldn’t be surprised if these bamboo rods, made as nature grew them, gave just as special of a feel, a feel that fits in with the river and the fish and the plant life growing along the shore. At about $70, it looks like.
