“COG” #6: Full-on Fixie Glory

You are currently viewing “COG” #6: Full-on Fixie Glory

“COG” is the art and outreach mothership of the bike culture scene, anchored to a global bedrock of fixie hipsterism. Yes, you can count on the hipsters. And, yes, they are linchpins. For bike art, anyway. Which means they’re never the same. Which is a good thing. They keep pushing, exploring, finding new stuff. Which, since there’s no real fixie pro-scene out there yet, doesn’t have a sell-out angle and so stays connected to its roots even as it constantly expands…

“COG” is a combo Milwaukee / Tokyo magazine project. What an idea! Industry is never far behind the viewfinder here. But neither is cutting edge Modernism. …DIY style.

“COG” is photography heaven in a large format. So it’s fitting that they’ve already kicked out a hardcover photography annual. Crayzeee!
