"Urban Velo" #15: Bike Revivers in Chicago & Philly ...& More (Sample)

September 29, 2009
$5 (Inc S/H)

[$5, postpaid US. One sample copy available.]

What a great naked riders cover on this Sept 2009 issue! 'Course they're not really naked. Just summer-style naked. I also dig the tennies and glasses-down-on-the-nose on the fixie rider in the lead!

I'm going to use the Sidewall Tear Repair idea described in this issue to fix a sweet blue race tire with a tear that I couldn't throw out. Glad I didn't!

"UV" is a compact, square-format 86-pg urban bike culture mag, making it stand out among mags. (It's full color and has a classy square-back perfect binding.) They also give away each issue as an e-mag at their website (and blog) at http://urbanvelo.org.

#15 Contents include: Boston NACCC [messenger race] Photo Gallery, The Bridges of NYC, Community Cargo [DIY cargo bikes in Philly], On the Road to Azougui, Working Bikes [Chicago's workbike bonanza!], Does Share the Road Work?, Real Life Tool Kit [I love lists and stuff in bags!], Repairing a Sidewall Tear, Bottom Bracket Tapers, I Love Riding in the City [profiles of a dozen city riders], Bikes on Film.
