Last weekend Henry and his pal went out with me and took some pics and video of me doing canoe poling and stand-up canoeing on the Red Cedar river down the street.

The autumn foliage was spectacular. The kids did a decent job of media-work, too. Although their amateur touches are easy to see and their patience quickly ran thin. Heck, I didn't even get any gung-ho poling on tape. Really, it's just a little clip showing me doing a couple turn-arounds and fake-portage. Still, it's the only footage out there of FLATWATER POLING. Poling is usually a whitewater New Englandy sort of thing. So check it out.

The pics turned out better than the video, in a posed "high school portrait" sort of way.

Oh, I also did some Standup Canoe Paddling and tooks pics and vids of that, uploaded here and at YouTube.
