Fall Foliage: Peep it now!

I keep forgetting the ironclad law of Michigan. If you see a nice day, GRAB IT. It and those like it will be gone in a flash!

I missed Autumn!

The leaves are probably going to be mostly down and gone after the upcoming storm/freeze/rain/etc. So if it’s pretty with fall foliage where you are, go outside now and enjoy it! It’ll be gone real soon.

Seize the donut!

[UPDATE 10/25: Whew, the bad weather didn’t hurt the leaves so badly. It came early while they were still mighty and strong. It’s been mostly rainy but I’ve gotten outside every day since my wake-up call. And finally, finally: today is a blue-sky day! I suppose I’m just a primitive who loves strong sensory overload. All that glowing color! It’s always flipped me out. There’s also a sense of grabbing it before it’s gone. Is the fadingness part of the allure? But then, but then…the trees open up, new vistas appear, when the leaves are down and everything is brown a new kind of beauty appears… Geese fill the air. The gloom gets sleety more often. That’s sweet in its own way. But the color, the color! I’ll take that for now…]
