Atomic Zombie's "Bike Builder Bonanza" How-To Book
[$20 postpaid in the US. SOLD! ...But if you want one, let me know and I'll look around.] This here Atomic Zombie dude tells you how to build most any kind of bike in his 388-page book---which it seems is sold out now. So this here is a rare copy. It's a sweet book---even has detailed how to weld instructions. I hope to glean as much as I can from it before it sells.
I like author Brad Graham's style. He has good perspective. His goal is neat, fun, useful bikes. They aren't high end, because you as a basement builder can't build a high-end bike the first time you try, or in a fun'n'reasonable amount of time. AZ shows you how to gitter done. These are not fancy, or overly difficult or expensive projects: they're just really good and really creative. They mostly use other cheap salvaged bikes.
AZ also sells single project plans on his website.
He mostly covers unusual bikes---with variations on upright tandems being his most normal bikes---then various recumbents and 'bent trikes---then he really takes off and covers the whole gamut, including the "so hot right now" tallbike.
A great, complete how-to resource! (The ONLY ONE, I think!)
