Overtime Malarkey

I’ve heard the commonism that everyone has to work overtime nowadays because benefits are so high that it’s cheaper to have fewer workers working longer, until they’re bleery, until they get hurt, until they go starkers, so they have enuf money to pay for the swimming pool and RVs and can go to casinos. It’s cheaper.

If you get hired plan on working overtime. It’s what you hear. I work for myself. I don’t count.

(People like me just pay ALL the public bills. The half of the nation in public pay are paid 100% of their pay by people like me who pay 50% of their pay in taxes. My other 50% is being fought for. They want my other 50%. For now, though, they have to leverage it as national debt. However, their goal is for me to Work at zero pay, 100% transferred to them so they can ‘work’ in public hire without putting the nation into debt. That’s nice. Notice the different spellings of ‘work’ and imagine what’s involved with each type of work. They will take care of me. I do not have to worry. They know better. They’ll take it from here.)

Anyway! I did a quick calculation and discovered that overtime is not at all cheaper than hiring more workers and paying them benefits. In worst case scenario it came out a wash. –With the corrosiveness of overtime not being measured. But of course being one of the main factors for the disintegration of our civilization, so it ought to be taken into account. Generally though on a cash basis you’re better off with more workers instead of more overtime.

But someone else feel free to correct me and do the math.
